Strathmore 200 SKILLS Range - watercolour paper pad

This is one of my recent review tests over at my weebly blog - The brand new Strathmore 200 Skills Range, which is practice paper.

Within the range there is this beautiful watercolour pad.  You get 30 sheets of 300gsm watercolour paper.  3 sizes of pads to choose from. This size i tested is the most popular size. 6in x 12in which is 15.2cm x 22.9cm.

The prices vary and due to the popularity of this range, it cannot be found in the UK yet, or in France, but, DICKBLICK do ship internationally and their prices start from $6.59.

Considering the practice papers on the market at the moment - This Strathmore range is absolutely wonderful for watercolour artists and amateurs, students, and even prolific artists like me :-)

reviewing art materials

I have been reviewing art materials from a disability view point.  Products can be difficult to use at the best of times, but when you are an artist with a physical disability it can make using art materials very frustrating, so, i decided to test some out and see how easy they are to use.  My tests are here - BLOG

the artwork below are from some of my reviews/critiques written about art materials i have tested for ease of use, value for money, and inspirational value.

some of Rebecca's recent paintings

Here is a selection of some of my recent artwork :-)

All about Rebecca

My Name is Rebecca and I am a prolific, physically disabled, self-taught artist. I developed my illness when i was 3 and a half years old, the half is important, because my illness was developed in around the month of May, and May, is when i can get problems with my illness.

My illness is called Stills Disease, (severe childhood arthritis I have and never will grow out of) it is an autoimmune illness which means the body attacks itself. All of my joints are deformed and I have limited joint movement. I had a spinal fusion when i was 5 years old at Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital, they were the only hospital willing to touch me at the time, because I was so ill.  My height is only 4ft, I will not grow taller than that. I can only walk very short distances and have to be held.

I live in France with my family.  I lived in England for over 20 years before leaving for France with my family the end of 2003.

My Birth year is 1981.

I love to paint, I paint everyday, for most of the day, and i am inspired by children's television programmes  (the nice colourful quiet ones) birds singing, tree blossom, flowers, except i have a lot of allergies to anything outside :-p

I get inspired by art products, there are so many on the market at the moment, and new ones being created all the time :-) i have quite a new website - www.rebeccalouisesaunders.weebly.com it is full of my artwork and product review blog.

I love doodling and have been inspired recently by the Drawing For Dummies book :-)

I have painted on a lot of items, walls, wood, glass, ceramics, rocks, paper, cardboard, metal, pebbles, etc. :-)
